Kinsmen Kourts II Dining Program

Kinsmen Kourts II is proud to provide residents with three meals a day, served in our central dining room. All meals are prepared in our state-of-the-art kitchen by experienced chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff. A wide variety of meals are offered on a 13-week rotation basis. Our Friendly Kitchen Staff

Guests are always welcome to join residents for meals in the dining room. 24-hour notice is required for guest reservations. The cost of guest meals is as follows: Breakfast $10, Lunch $15, and Supper $15. Without notice, we cannot guarantee we will be able to accommodate guests. Residents can make guest reservations with the kitchen staff or at the front office.

Recreation Program

We are proud of our well-developed Recreation Program. We provide activities five days a week and are always encouraging residents to give us feedback about what they would like to see and do in our facility. We provide a monthly calendar to our residents which acts as a reminder of what is going on in our activity room. When weather allows, we book the Neepawa Handi-Van to take residents and recreation staff on trips throughout the surrounding communities. Residents are required to pay their portion of the Handi-Van fees and any outing charges that may apply.

Resident or Family-Initiated Services

Hairdressing

For the convenience of residents, a hair salon is located on the basement level of Kinsmen Kourts II and is open twice a week. Residents or their family members are required to make an appointment. Cash or cheque are accepted.

Home Care

If a situation arises where a resident requires Home Care Services while living at Kinsmen Kourts II, family members should contact Home Care directly. Call Prairie Mountain Health Home Care Services at 204-476-7834 for more information.

Medical Services

Residents and residents’ families are responsible for making appointments—and arranging transportation and accompaniment—for services such as medical specialists, hearing tests, eye examinations, dental care, and medical examinations.

If you are visiting a resident of Kinsmen Kourts II, you can reserve and stay in one of our three well-appointed Guest Suites. They feature a queen bed (the main-floor guest room has a hotel-type layout with one room and a bathroom; the other two suites are located on upper floors and have a separate bedroom), private bathroom, closet, television (with cable service provided by Bell), wireless Internet access, microwave, mini refrigerator, and telephone for local calls only.

— Hotel-type Guest Room (main floor) — $65.00 per night + taxes
— 2 Larger Guest Suites (upper floors) — $85.00 per night + taxes

Reservations can be made by contacting the Main Office at 204-476-3644. Payment is to be made at the time the keys are picked up from the Executive Director’s office at check-in. Payment can be made by cash or cheque. Kinsmen Kourts II Guest Room/Suite reservations should be cancelled or changed at least 24 hours prior to your arrival.

Rental fee includes a complimentary breakfast. Lunch and supper meals are at the expense of the guest and reservations must be made with a few hours notice to the kitchen staff.

Check-in time is by 4:00 p.m., and check-out time is by 1:00 p.m.
